S3 ID has been shortlisted in the prestigious ONS 2010 Innovator awards for its new UltraSafe™ and CheckPoint™ ranges.

UltraSafe™ is the company’s new RFID safety helmet that allows ownership, history and inspection record details to be embedded onto the product.

Checkpoint™ is an innovative product designed for personnel location and tracking onrefineries and petrochemical facilities. The big advantage of CheckPoint™ is it’s very low installation costs, being just a fraction of the cost of other technologies.

Both of these products were shortlisted in the ONS 2010 Innovator award because they demonstrated innovative and unique solutions for improving safety of personnel across a wide variety of facilities. The final selection process and award ceremony taking place at the show.

S3 ID will be unveiling full details of both ranges on the S3 ID stand (Hall J, stand 970) at the OC:\Users\eivind\DownloNS exhibition.

“We are launching a record number of new products at this year’s ONS show,” said Doug Woodbridge, Head of Group Sales & Marketing. “Along with UltraSafe™ and Checkpoint™, both of which have been shortlisted in the ONS 2010 Innovator award, we will be showcasing our full range of location awareness solutions.”

Also unveiled for the first time at ONS is Sea Marshall+™ Personal Locator Beacon (PLB). The advanced beacon is locatable at ranges up to 40 miles* and Holding CAA Exemption for Helicopter use, Sea Marshall+™ is an enhanced version of an already well proven maritime PLB product and is exclusively marketed by S3 ID as part of its eLocator™ and eSafety™ product families.

The Sea Marshall+™ PLB is unique in having its own RFID ‘identity’ built in at time of manufacture and holds similar information to that held by UltraSafe™. *PLB Location Ranges are typically up to 40 Miles from a Search & Rescue Helicopter and up to 8 Miles from a surface vessel.

Completing the new product line up is GPS+™, which provides positive personnel location awareness, over large geographical areas, plus positive identification at S3 ID active gateway portals.
