With a new stand at the familiar position in hall A4 stand 306 SCHOTTEL presents itself at SMM. The communicative architecture is the ideal environment for information about the new products and dialogues with the SCHOTTEL Sales and Service team.

With the Slogan “Proven SCHOTTEL quality has a new name” SCHOTTEL introduces a new nomenclature effective 1 September 2016. SCHOTTEL invented the Rudderpropeller (SRP) over 65 years ago. A new, clear nomenclature will replace the current product designation system which has grown along with the company for a simpler orientation. At SMM visitors can get informed about the new system.

Illustrative scale models show the latest innovations of the company. In the center is the highly efficient electric SCHOTTEL EcoPeller (SRE), a thruster optimised for the open sea and coastal operating conditions. Furthermore the electric SCHOTTEL Rim Thruster (SRT), a space-saving lower-weight drive converting electrical energy directly into propulsion without transmission losses. With its minimised noise and vibration levels the thruster is ideal for vessels frequently operating in the DP mode or whenever utmost comfort is needed.

AT SMM SCHOTTEL also presents application related solutions – a Rudderpropeller (SRP) for shallow water applications, e.g. push boats or an SRP with PTI, a compact hybrid drive, especially suitable for vessels with highly variable work cycles.

In addition to this, scale model tugs provide an overview of the eco friendly tug solutions SCHOTTEL offers to the customers.
