Searcher Seismic Pty Ltd in conjunction with its project partner CGGVeritas confirms the completion of the FOXHOUND Non-Exclusive 3D Seismic Survey (FOXHOUND 3D Survey).

FOXHOUND 3D Survey covers 6 active exploration permits and 1 area of vacant acreage in the highly prospective Northern Carnarvon basin. The newly commissioned M/V Geowave Voyager completed 3,454sq km of acquisition on schedule, utilising 10 streamers and with no major HSE incidents.

Operations Manager Alan Hopping commented, “It is a tribute to the quality of the vessel and crew that this survey was completed to the highest safety standards”. Searcher Seismic Director Odd Larsen further added, “The completion of the Foxhound 3D Survey will provide the industry with an excellent opportunity to further evaluate the under explored potential of the Northern Carnarvon Basin.”

Data is now being processed in the facility of CGGVeritas in Perth, Western Australia and first deliverables are expected by the end of August 2009.
