Maritime Assurance and Consulting (MAC)

A team of maritime specialists from a growing Aberdeen firm has successfully completed a project to transport a drillship on a 9,000-mile journey from Singapore to Gabon.

For the experts from Maritime Assurance and Consulting (MAC) the 28-day voyage, utilising an innovative heavy lift vessel (HLV), represents a significant milestone in the company’s development.

The work was MAC’s first marine warranty surveying (MWS) contract and represents one of the key growth areas for the firm.

The MWS project was led by Peter Wilson, MAC’s engineering manager and a naval architect with extensive experience in the field, with support from a fellow naval architect and master mariner as the company’s project team.
