Singular, the workforce solutions business, has announced the appointment of three senior hires. The appointments of Lance Nelson as Americas Director, Louisa Batten as EMEA Director and Mike Harper as EMEA Business Development Manager, will further reinforce Singular’s position as technical experts in energy, oil and gas recruitment service outsourcing (RPO) and managed service provision (MSP) solutions.

Matthew Hallé, Singular Managing Director, says, “It’s a very exciting time for all of us at Singular with these appointments representing an important step on our journey as our growth gathers pace. Nelson, Batten and Harper will strengthen our technical expertise as we seize new opportunities in a resurgent oil and gas sector.”

The latest appointments come as part of dramatic growth at Singular, with the company poised to double its workforce in the coming year. The company is experiencing increasing demand from clients looking to improve the way they acquire and manage their contingent and permanent workforces, and introduce new efficiencies that will attract the best talent.

Hallé adds, “Having established a solid presence in North America and EMEA, we are increasingly supporting our clients in multiple locations and rolling our services out globally. Embedding innovative practices and technologies into our recruitment functions has allowed us to expand rapidly in North America and EMEA. These appointments will be key to driving our continued growth in what will be a pivotal year for Singular.”

Nelson, Batten and Harper will add a wealth of energy-industry experience to the company’s operations.

Based in Houston, Lance Nelson will be responsible for developing and executing the regional strategy for sales, implementation and delivery in the Americas. Drawing on over 16 years’ experience in the energy and natural resources industry working at major outsourcing firms, Nelson will build further sophistication and technical expertise into Singular’s MSP and RPO service-line offerings, including the introduction of statement of work (SOW) & business process management (BPO).

Louisa Batten will work from London to support client operations in EMEA. Batten will add substantial energy-industry and global solution design expertise, having worked for 3 years as Director of Global Employment Solutions at Airswift, in addition to a further 8 years in leadership roles at Air Energi prior to its merger with Swift Worldwide Resources. Louisa will also lead Singular’s consulting service line.

Based in the UK also, Mike Harper will lead business development efforts in EMEA, strengthening Singular’s RPO offering by drawing on his three years’ experience as Business Solutions Manager at Datum RPO.
