Solomon Associates has launched the Worldwide Aromatics Performance Analysis (Aromatics Study), a new study that will provide manufacturers a 360-degree view of their performance across all of their aromatics units, whether located inside or outside their refineries. The study enables manufacturers to identify performance gaps as a basis for improving manufacturing operations efficiency.
“Refiners have been asking us for some time to develop a comprehensive study that focuses solely on aromatics units, including those located outside their refining complexes,” said Bill Trout, manager of refining studies for Solomon Associates. “We have created the Aromatics Study to meet this need.”
The Aromatics Study includes peer group performance analysis from a regional, size, complexity, and global standpoint for more than 100 aromatics complexes around the world. Individual plant rankings are provided within each peer group based on key performance indicators that encompass critical aspects of the manufacturing process.
The study will analyze manufacturing data with an emphasis on operations and maintenance. Focus areas include energy consumption, process efficiency, maintenance costs, operating and mechanical reliability, and staffing efficiency.
“Solomon Associates is committed to providing our clients with the data, tools and analysis they need to compete at the global level,” said John Wise, manager of the Aromatics Study. “The Aromatics Study enables aromatics manufacturers to formulate a data-driven performance improvement plan utilizing real-world data.”
