Sparrows promotes Michael Laird to Middle East Area Manager

Michael Laird has been promoted as Business Area Manager, Middle East with immediate effect, in succession to Richard Wilson who was recently appointed Vice President for Asia/Pacific and the Middle East.

In his new role, Michael assumes management responsibility over the key ADMA/OPCO, Dubai Petroleum, Total and Zadco accounts with an additional remit to pursue growth throughout the Middle East.

Sparrows Offshore’s Middle East business unit employs 80 people, predominantly in and offshore the United Arab Emirates. In addition to delivery of managed crane services, the team has recently expanded into the offshore crane rental business, with a Bucyrus Erie MK 60 on long term hire and plans for further fleet additions which already include an MK35 currently being overhauled.
