BW Offshore sells Prosafe stake for $667M

Prosafe Production extends FPSO Umuroa contract

A flurry of messages to shareholders Friday led to BW Offshore confirming it had sold its stake in offshore production company Prosafe for NOK3.35 billion ($666.7 million).

BW Offshore has become of the world`s most active contractors for floating-production storage and offloading vessels, or FPSOs, with 12 vessels delivered, plus 42 production turrets and offshore terminals via tech-business APL.
