Cameron awarded contract for Subsea Equipment

U.S. Engineering outfit Cameron has won an $83 million order for subsea systems from Chevron, as Phase II of the Gulf of Mexico Tahiti subsea development gets underway.

It's the second multi-million-dollar order for Cameron in a week, after BP put in a call for $100 million in sub-sea systems on Jan. 15.

The Chevron order calls for production systems and eight 15,000-psi subsea trees, production control systems, connection systems, engineering and project management services and equipment. Deliveries are to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009 and run to 2012.
