Cecon wins $30M Angola pipe-lay

Norway-based offshore construction outfit Cecon has been awarded a NOK170 million ($30.1 million) pipely contract by Angola Drilling Company.

The contract involves the engineering, procurement, installation and construction of 30 kilometres of six-inch and four-inch pipelines due for start-up in spring 2008.

The Norwegian interests behind built-up their fleet of late with orders for yards in Quebec, Canada partly defining that expansion.
