DOF Subsea Norway AS has been awarded a call-off on an existing survey frame agreement with Statoil Petroleum AS for Multibeam Echosounder (MBE) inspection and AUV survey services in the North Sea.

The call-off has a firm period of approximately 50 days in addition to optional services and will be performed during summer season 2014. The scope of work includes vessel-based MBE pipeline inspection in shallow waters, deep water AUV pipeline survey, as well as AUV coral mapping. Project execution will be handled by DOF Subsea’s operating center in Bergen, Norway. The offshore support and ROV vessel, Libas, will be mobilized for execution of the call-off. Libas is chartered from Lgo and can potentially undertake other commitments for DOF Subsea.

Executive Vice President of DOF Subsea, Jan-Kristian Haukeland, states: “We are pleased to see that DOF Subsea continues to be a preferred supplier of survey and inspection services in the North Sea. Our clients know that we can provide them know-how and the best technology available thus ensuring cost efficient and solution-oriented project execution. Our long-lasting client relationships prove that we are successful in creating value for our clients and this is what we in DOF Subsea work for every day.”

DOF Subsea has recently completed a successful AUV pipeline inspection outside the North Sea. The AUV will be transferred to the North Sea to perform the pipeline survey for this Statoil scope.

DOF Subsea has proven capabilities in specialist survey, subsea construction, and inspection, repair and maintenance services worldwide. The company also owns and operates one of the largest global fleets of high-specification vessels, ROVs and dive systems.
