Iraqi joint venture signed: Ramco

Investment company Ramco Energy of Aberdeen confirm Thursday that the joint venture between the state owned, Iraqi Drilling Co. and Ramco venture Mesopotamia Petroleum Company Ltd. has been signed with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil today in Baghdad.

Ramco holds 33 percent. interest in Mesopotamia, an entity set up to secure a position in Iraq through bidding on oil services contracts as well as exploration and production opportunities.

The company said a more detailed announcement will be issued later today or tomorrow.

A slieu of Iraq deals unrelated to Ramco are expected to be announced by Iraqi officals over the coming days and weeks.
