StatoilHydro has awarded Netherlands-based oilfield software producer Paradigm a contract for the company’s subsea management suite.
The technology is said to offer the oil company’s geoscientists around the world access to petrophysics, depth data and interpretation and processing imaging.
“This will allow StatoilHydro to easily deploy workflows and knowledge … throughout all of their international offices around the world,” a statement said.
Paradigm chief exec John Gibson said in a statement that “StatoilHydro’s echnical leadership is well recognized by the industry”.
Gibson could point to an oil company looking to technology to help in harder times. StatoilHydro’s complex relationships to a littany of technology companies is keenly chronicled in the archives of Scandoil.com affiliate Scandinavian Oil-Gas Magazine.
