On October 19 next, at 8:30 AM, at the Petroleum Club (Petroleum Club of Houston), the national oil company ANCAP Uruguay Uruguay Round II will present its bidding process for exploration and production in the offshore. In addition, ANCP will be offering workshops to interested companies between 18 and 21 October at the Hilton Americas, located in downtown Houston. The Uruguayan delegation will be composed of national authorities, members of the Board of ANCAP, and ANCAP's top managers in the areas of E & P and legal. The technical staff of the Division of E & P of ANCAP, led by Ph.D. Hector de Santa Ana, will present the exploratory potential of offshore Uruguay, and the general terms of the tender of the Uruguay Round I. In order to continue offering the industry's upstream exploration opportunities, ANCAP has recently launched the Uruguay Round II on September 8 last.

Several companies have confirmed their presence in the Houston event, adding to more than a dozen companies that participated in the official announcement in Montevideo.
In addition to the event, from 18 to 21 October ANCAP technical team will be available for meetings with companies interested in seeing the data base offshore in a workstation (more than 30,000 km of 2D seismic data, gravity and magnetometer and the records and reports of only two offshore wells drilled in Uruguay).
In 2009 ANCAP, the national oil company, successfully launched the Uruguay Round I, bidding for exploration and exploitation of offshore areas in Uruguay, signed two altos for two areas with a consortium formed by Petrobras, YPF and Galp.
