Statoil Peregrino project

Houston-based William Jacob Management (WJM) has been awarded a major contract to provide offshore drill rig commissioning support for the Statoil Peregrino project. Located in Block BM-C-8 of Brazil’s Campos Basin, Peregrino incorporates two platforms (A & B) and is the Norwegian company’s largest international field to date.

Since January 2010, a WJM team of 15 people has worked on a 28/28 rotation, traveling first to Rio de Janiero, then to the coastal town of Macae for transport to the platforms. Once offshore, they have provided assistance in all phases of commissioning of the wellhead and drill rig on each platform. Prior to commissioning, WJM has been involved throughout the Peregrino project lifecycle, with responsibilities including the FEED, detailed engineering procurement and construction management associated with the refurbishment of the two, 3000-horsepower API modular platform rigs.
