Gudrun facility

Statoil Petroleum AS (Statoil) has received the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA’s) consent to use the living quarters and production facility on the Gudrun field.

Statoil is the operator of the Gudrun field located in block 15/3 in the central part of the North Sea, approx. 55 km north of Sleipner. The field is developed with a living quarters and production facility on a steel jacket at a water depth of 109 metres. Oil/condensate and gas from Gudrun will be transported through two pipelines to Sleipner A for further processing and export.

In addition to Statoil, GDF Suez is a licensee in the production licence with an ownership interest of 25 per cent.

Production from the Gudrun field is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2014.
