TAM International North Sea Limited, a subsidiary of TAM International Inc, an independent oilfield services company that provides inflatable and swellable packers, and downhole products and services to the oil and gas industry, is investing approximately £1.8 million in expanding its Aberdeen operations.

Currently employing 35 people at its Aberdeen base in West Tullos, TAM International North Sea Limited expects to increase its workforce by approximately 20% over the next three years, as part of a global strategy to expand the business.

Servicing Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East, the Aberdeen facility will act as the primary training centre for the region. It will also provide a state-of-the-art warehouse area, permanent display area and modern, fully equipped offices.

VP of operations for Europe, Africa and Middle East, Steven Scott said: “We have recently seen particularly significant growth in Norway, West Africa and Russia and we see Aberdeen as vital for the development of our business in those key regions.

“The investment in Aberdeen is part of our wider global strategy. This is an exciting time for the team here at TAM and we look forward to the challenges ahead as we drive the company forward.”
