The 2012 SPE exhibition sees a 12% increase in the number of paper proposals submitted

2012 SPE

Organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the North Africa Technical Conference and Exhibition (NATC) taking place 20–22 February 2012 in Cairo, Egypt received over 418 technical papers submitted from 157 companies representing 39 countries to mark an increase of 12% in the total number of papers received in comparison to the last edition of the event.

The 2012 NATC aims at addressing various current and ongoing issues in the region including exploration, formation evaluation, field development, facilities, petroleum economics, unitisation, reserves assessment and co-sharing fields, reservoir management, drilling challenges, well completions and optimisation, production, HSSE, and finally human resources management.

Set to host to an exceptional line of speakers to exchange technical insights and knowledge of the latest technological innovations in the oil and gas industry, NATC will welcome international leading figures from key companies such as Arabian Oil Company, Baker Hughes, BG Group, BP, Dana Gas Egypt, Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum, Halliburton, Khalda Petroleum Company, Libya NOC, Lufkin Industries, Mabruk Oil Operations, Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Libya, Packers Plus, PETRONAS, PICO International Petroleum, Repsol, Schlumberger, Shell, Statoil, Sudapet, Technical Petroleum Services, Total, Tri Ocean Energy, and Zueitina Oil Company.

Regional E&P professionals from all disciplines will also be available to network, forge business relationships, and initiate business and strategic collaborations in addition to discussing and debating the various industry topics, case histories, and best practices.
