Trans Energy, Inc.

Trans Energy has commenced drilling the Groves #1H well in Marshall County, West Virginia. The Groves #1H will be drilled and completed horizontally in the Marcellus shale.

John G. Corp, President of Trans Energy, said, "We have completed the drilling of the Stout #2H and have now begun the drilling of the Groves #1H. The Groves #1H is the second of our four planned horizontal Marcellus wells in Marshall County in the second half of 2010. We hope to frac the Stout #2H sometime in the late October or early November. Moving to a development phase from an exploration phase is another significant step forward for Trans Energy to properly develop its acreage position in northern West Virginia."
