Trelleborg Offshore appoints innovation leader

Eric Wallis - Trelleborg Offshore

Trelleborg Offshore, the global manufacturer of polymer and syntactic foam-based solutions for the offshore industry, has added to its dedicated innovation team with the appointment of Eric Wallis, as senior vice president of innovation.

Wallis, who has 20-years experience in materials research and development, joins Trelleborg from leading chemical company BASF. He previously held senior positions at global chemical companies Ciba Speciality Chemicals and Chevron Philips, as well as petroleum company, Philips Petroleum.

In his new role, Wallis will be responsible for leading the global innovation strategy for Trelleborg Offshore. In this capacity he will manage the company’s product solutions group and will have functional responsibility for all R&D activity within the wider Offshore organisation.
