The new Wärtsilä NOx Reducer will be fitted to two new fishing vessels under construction at the Celiktrans yard in Turkey. The ships are owned by HB Grandi, one of Iceland's largest fishing vessel operators. The company emphasizes environmental sustainability and responsible fishing practices. The order was received during the fourth quarter of 2013 and Wärtsilä's equipment is scheduled for delivery in the second and fourth quarter of 2014.

The Wärtsilä NOx Reducer (NOR), an exhaust after-treatment system for removing harmful nitrogen oxide emissions from medium speed marine engines, has been upgraded with a new and improved design. The upgraded version features a flexible and more compact design to enable easier and faster onboard installation. It is also compatible for both marine diesel fuel (MDF) and heavy fuel oil (HFO) engine operation. The auxiliary units have also been improved; for example, centralised units for multiple installations with built-in redundancy are now available.
