The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are highly prestigious awards for outstanding achievement by businesses in Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development. The awards are made annually by HM The Queen, and are given for only the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in each category. They are judged to a demanding level, with over 400 submissions received for the category in which Weatherford were successful. Weatherford were presented the award by the Lord Lieutenant on behalf of the Queen, with the Mayor and Vice Chair of Rushcliffe County Council as well as Senior Weatherford Vice Presidents in attendance.
Martin Enstone, General Manager of the manufacturing facility said, “To be shortlisted for this award is an achievement in itself when you consider the amount and quality of companies that have submitted applications. I am particularly proud of this award as this recognizes the efforts of our staff; four of which have been presented with 35 year service awards today. We have developed the perfect balance of experience and young talent, which supported by our pioneering Formation Tester, Borehole Electrical Imager and the Dipole Sonic technology, has led to this prestigious award.”
