Wireline Engineering appoints Business Development Director

Wireline Engineering, a wireline and well intervention technology provider has appointed Donald Mitchell to its board in the newly created position as business development director.

Donald is returning to Wireline Engineering where he previously spent ten years in various technical and sales roles. He then joined Welltec for three years as business development manager where he was involved in extending the role and capabilities of specialist wireline equipment both in the UK and overseas.

Bill Petrie, managing director of Wireline Engineering, said: "I am delighted to announce Donald's appointment as business development director and to welcome him back to the Wireline Engineering team. He will be based at our Aberdeen office but will have global responsibility for identifying growth opportunities from new products and services.

"Wireline Engineering is an innovation company and Don's combination of technical expertise and market knowledge will further strengthen our ability to develop and extend our range of products and services."

A native of Aberdeen, Donald began his career in design and mechanical engineering before moving to the oil and gas industry in various technical and sales roles with Expro, Well-Equip and PES before joining Wireline Engineering when it was founded in 1998.
