Expro Group International-3

Expro has reinforced its commitment to safety performance and developing its people after three senior employees achieved trainer status from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

The achievement now allows essential elements of safety management training for employees – in the five-day ‘Managing Safely’ course – to be held in-house across Expro’s global operations.

The three IOSH-approved trainers are senior safety professionals: David Ford, Expro’s global HSEQC manager; Alan Worth, global HSEQC co-ordinator; and John Hannah, HSEQC manager for Expro’s business units.

The Managing Safely course is designed to inspire great safety leadership, providing managers and supervisors with guidance and inspiration on the practical actions they need to take to promote Health, Safety & Environmental excellence in their teams.

Expro has an industry-leading reputation for safety performance, having won the oil and gas sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the past four years in succession in recognition of its performance internationally.

David Ford said: “I am pleased to be in the position that we can offer such important safety leadership training in-house to our managers. Expro has developed a world-class reputation for performance in health and safety management, and our ability to develop our people through this industry-recognised training further enhances that reputation. Managing Safely allows our teams to make confident, assured decisions in their day-to-day working lives.”
