A coal plant in Wisconsin in the United States will be among the first in the world to have its carbon-dioxide scrubbed away and stored, and the speed of America’s adoption of emissions-cleaning solvents is attracting key personnel.
The We Energies coal-fired power plant in Pleasant Prairie has paired France-based Alstom and US-based Electric Power Research Institute in a pilot installation expected to cut carbon-dioxide emissions by 90 percent.
