ADIL recruits three senior-level candidates

ADIL, the Aberdeen-based independent energy consultancy, has declared three senior-level appointments as part of an ongoing growth strategy that has seen the company increase its projected turnover by £7 million in the last two years.

Chris Hamlet has been appointed in the role of operations and improvement manager, Michael Fuery takes on the position of developments consultancy manager and Euan Mushet has been appointed as HSEQ manager. The new appointments are expected to enhance ADIL’s service offering, with the Aberdeen-headquartered firm also planning to expand its overseas operations.

With 28 years experience across a range of upstream and downstream functions in both the UK and overseas, Mr Hamlet has held senior operational positions with various companies in the UK upstream sector since 2001, including Maersk Oil Ltd and ConocoPhillips. He has a proven track record in leading teams that have achieved significant performance improvements in safety and operating efficiency across the board.

Mr Fuery joins ADIL with more than 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry, having primarily worked for Shell UK Ltd, where he started his career as a wellsite operations engineer, before working across a variety of senior consultancy and development roles. He has a strong technical background in development engineering and well engineering, with excellent opportunity review management, supply chain management, opportunity framing and technical/financial audit skills.

A Chartered HSE professional, Mr Mushet has in excess of 30 years experience. He has a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience and has held senior positions with several major operators both in corporate HSE and project related roles. Euan’s previous employers include E.ON Ruhrgas, Aker Solutions, RBG Ltd and Subsea 7.

ADIL, which has celebrated its fifth anniversary this year, has continued to expand since its inception in 2006 with staff numbers rising from 30 employees in 2010 to around 100 in order to support rising demand for the company’s field development projects and consultancy work. In addition to projects in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), personnel are also currently supporting work in the Netherlands, Romania, China and the Middle East.

ADIL’s managing director, James Paton, said: “The oil and gas industry is experiencing a renewed confidence, not least because of the high commodity price, and we are finding there is an increasing demand for our services. I’m delighted to welcome our three latest recruits and have no doubt that the breadth of their expertise and extensive knowledge of the oil and gas sector will play a key role in the future success of the company.
