Drillsearch Energy Ltd. its drilling report for January, including details of a wet gas discovery at Ralgnal-1 exploration well in PRL 130 in South Australian Cooper Basin.

Oil Business

Western Flank Oil Fairway

Drilling continued on the Western Flank Oil Fairway (Drillsearch 60 percent, Beach 40 percent and Operator) with the Sandhurst-1 exploration well in PRL 156 (formerly PEL 91) which targeted the top Namur Sandstone. Sandhurst-1 was plugged and abandoned after encountering insufficient hydrocarbon pay.

Wet Gas Business

Western Wet Gas Fairway

Our Wet Gas joint venture with Beach (Drillsearch 50 percent, Beach 50 percent and Operator) drilled the Ralgnal-1 exploration well in PRL 130 (formerly PEL 106). Drillsearch’s preliminary evaluation of well logs indicates a gross interval in the Patchawarra Formation between 7,805 and 9,144 feet (2,379 and 2,787 meters) with net pay of 21.6 feet (6.6 meters), and a gross interval in the Tirrawarra Formation between 9,144 and 9,324 feet (2,787 and 2,842 meters) with net pay of 9.8 feet (3.0 meters).
