A consortium of BW Offshore`s technology division Advanced Production & Loading and SBM Offshore has won a contract with Total in Angola to engineer, procure for, build and deliver an oil-loading system for the Pazflor project.

For BW Offshore, the job is good for $100 million and entails delivery by 2011 of the deepwater buoy and its mooring system.

Unlike other APL systems, the trademark buoy turret loading system features a floating connection point developed and installed on the Dalia field in 2006.

The Pazflor development off Angola will bring four fields into production between 40 kilometres and 150 km northeast of Dalia in water over 1,200 metres deep.
