Altus Intervention has announced it has secured a significant contract with Maersk Oil for the provision of a wide range of Wireline services.

The contract duration is for a firm 5-year period with extension options for a further 3 years. The award will re-enforce Altus Intervention’s commitment to the Danish Continental Shelf.

Altus Intervention has previously provided Tractor Conveyance and integrated optimisation solutions to Maersk Oil, but the new contract expands the work scope.

This contract builds on existing work scopes and will deliver an integrated package of Logging and Tractor Conveyance services and Wireline deployment operations, whilst providing access to Altus Intervention’s unique scope of wellbore cleanout, completion manipulation and wellbore access and recovery technologies. With over 35 years of specialist intervention experience in the North Sea, Altus Intervention will provide a fully integrated and cost effective solution.

Tor Albert Ersdal, Managing Director of Altus Intervention, states, “This contract is one of the largest Wireline contracts in Denmark and one of the larger contracts in the North Sea. The award highlights and strengthens Altus Intervention’s position as the preferred provider of cost-effective well intervention technologies. The combination of our intervention expertise and cutting-edge innovations will ensure that each stage of this large project will be executed with surety and confidence.”

Åge Landro, CEO of Qinterra Technologies, adds, “The contract strongly contributes to our growth in the Danish market and our commitment to invest in the region with new facilities, equipment and jobs being mobilised as we speak. We are very pleased that Maersk Oil has shown this trust in us and we are looking forward to expanding our close association with this key client.”
