Hess Corporation

Hess Corporation says that Timothy B. Goodell has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel, effective January 5, 2009.

Goodell has been a partner in the law firm White & Case, where he has worked since 1984. He is currently a member of the firm's Partnership Committee. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, financings, securities and corporate governance. Goodell received his bachelor's degree from Davidson College and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

"We are delighted to have an attorney with such outstanding experience and record of achievement lead our legal team," said John Hess, Chairman and CEO.
