Aberdeen-headquartered oil and gas consultancy, Maxoil Solutions (Maxoil), has further boosted its expansion drive with the opening of two new international offices.

As part of its plans to increase its global presence, the company has established a base in London, near Reading, and moved to new larger premises in Houston, within the city’s Energy Corridor.

The developments come after Maxoil identified both the Southern UK and US energy sectors as key target markets and client locations for its continued growth.

With four employees based in London and a further three working from the Houston base, the company expects future expansion to be delivered through these satellite offices, with its Aberdeen headquarters acting as a hub.

In addition to the new offices recruiting locally, the Granite City office will act as a feeder to the Southern UK and Houston operations, ensuring the company’s culture is maintained, whilst providing international career opportunities for its staff.

Having assembled the core teams for the two regions, Maxoil is now aggressively looking to increase its London and Houston workforces with, in particular, experienced Process Engineers and Production Chemistry Consultants who possess strong backgrounds in operations.

And the company, which has recently increased its overall global workforce by 53% – from 21 to 32 members of staff – aims to further expand its international presence in 2012, through setting up an office in Perth, Australia, and relocating its existing office in Norway.

Maxoil’s Norwegian subsidiary, Maxoil Norge AS, opened a base in Bergen in 2008 and is now planning to build on its existing presence in the country by relocating to Stavanger, to further capitalise on opportunities in the region.

News of the opening of the new offices comes hot on the heels of Maxoil announcing that it is on target to increase its turnover by 70% to £5million.

Director of Maxoil, Mel Dow, commented: “Expanding Maxoil’s operations on a global scale has always been a major element of our growth strategy and we’re delighted to open a permanent base in the Southern UK and establish a larger base in the USA – two strategic operating arenas.

“The London office allows us to work closer with existing and new clients in the Southern UK region, whilst the Houston office lets us build on our client base in the GOM, Alaska, Canada, South America and West Africa.

“We have worked exceptionally hard at carving an unrivalled reputation within the UK and overseas for the delivery of specialist troubleshooting and process optimisation and we look forward to building on this global success from these new bases in these two key regions.”
