With Gary Aucoin as the new General Manager of SCHOTTEL Inc. in Houma/LA, a dedicated sales expert takes over leadership of the prospering US subsidiary. He is characterised by his extensive experience and enormous knowledge of the US propulsion market.

Most recently, from 2010, Aucoin held the role of account manager at Finnish Wartsila with responsibility for both new business development and after sales service in the offshore market. These are already strong areas with further growth potential for German propulsion expert SCHOTTEL in North America. Gary Aucoin holds a master degree in business administration before embarking on a 15-year career with various posts in the maritime sector from which he acquired the in-depth sales and marketing knowledge of the North American market that he brings to his new position.

Gary Aucoin took up his new position from Nils Moerkeseth, GM of SCHOTTEL Inc. for many years. Dr Christian Strahberger, CEO of parent company SCHOTTEL GmbH, thanked Nils Moerkeseth for his many years of dedicated service which played a key role in the company’s expansion on the North American market. Nils Moerkeseth’s strategy for SCHOTTEL Inc. resulted in a turnover grew by a nearly factor of ten under his responsibility, and major increase of market shares in his region. Additionally, an extension of the sales territory to cover Canada was established. He will stay with SCHOTTEL as Executive Chairman.
