Saltire Energy-5

Saltire Energy, a leading supplier of drilling tools to the offshore oil and gas industry, has secured a position on The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table, in acknowledgment of the Group’s significant rise in profit figures over a three year period.

The 15th Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, which was published in the Sunday Times on 13 April, is an annual league table ranking 100 of Britain’s privately-owned companies with the fastest-growing profits.

In 2013, Saltire Energy reported a record turnover of £32.9million, an increase in over 50% from the previous year. The Group has experienced strong local and global growth following the expansion of its operations in the UK, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Norway.

Mike Loggie, Chief Executive of Saltire Energy, said: “The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 is highly-regarded within the business community. Securing a spot on this year’s league table is an enormous achievement for us.

“Saltire Energy was listed on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 ‘Ones to Watch’ table last year - we have since grown the company by investing back into the business, which has allowed us to accelerate our capabilities and increase our global presence.

“As a result of our rapid growth we are outgrowing our current Aberdeen headquarters. A £5million investment has allowed us to build a new facility and consolidate our operations within one location. We also have plans to open a new base in Thailand, strengthening the Group’s presence in the Asia Pacific region and enhancing our client offering in the area.

“Scottish businesses have a strong presence on the list this year which is highly-encouraging for development in the region. I am confident that we will build on this success in the future and drive our business growth forward.”

The Profit Track 100 league table is sponsored by International accountancy network, BDO, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company.

The league table ranks 100 privately-owned, British companies with the fastest-growing sales over a three year period. Published within The Sunday Times, it has acknowledged top performing private companies for the past 15 years.

The companies featured on the league table will come together in June at a prestigious black tie awards dinner at The Savoy, London.

Six awards for excellence will be presented during the event to the companies that merit special recognition. The awards include the Best Brand, Customer Service, Value Creating, Best Management Team, Ones to Recognise and Fastest-Growing Company.
