Patent for Roxar subsea Multiphase meter’s Retrievable Canister-Spotlight

St. Louis-, Missouri based wireless outfit Emerson Electric Co. got a step closer to offering an a complete underwater reservoir-monitoring product line on Wednesday, after Norwegian competition overseers gave their OK to buy up local outfit Roxar.

Emerson business Aegir Norge Holding’s voluntary offer for all Roxar shares has it already owning 50 percent, it was understood.

But competition authorities in Germany and Russia must also approve the $180-million equity deal.

Emerson has made giant strides in process control for plant, onshore and offshore, with its wireless diagnostic tools to operated and protect expensive equipment. Roxar has become a subsea reservoir metering phenom.
