Roxar receives important order to proceed

Norway-based reservoir flow expert Roxar has won a 10-million-kroner ($1.6 million) software contract with an unnamed Middle Eastern client enamoured by the supplier's full reservoir management suite.

Comprising the deal are Roxar's reservoir simulation solution Tempest, its history-matching and forecasting EnABLE and seismic interpretation kit VisualVoxAT.

Roxar had only just released the latest version of its Tempest simulation suite said to be faster and more "multi-tasking" than the earlier version. More user-data interface makes the new suite easier to use for a wider range of engineer talent.

Roxar's board, meanwhile, has recommended shareholders accept a takeover offer by St. Louis-based wireless outfit Emerson Electric Co..
