Oceanology International 2010

The scene is set for a highly successful Oceanology International 2010. The biennial exhibition and conference, the world's premier meeting place for the increasingly important marine science and ocean technology community, will be staged in London in early March 2010.

Every two years Oceanology International is attended by the global community of engineers, scientists, legislators, policy makers and management professionals with responsibility across all of the ocean science and marine technology spectrum encompassing sectors as varied as ports and harbours and offshore oil and gas; offshore renewable energy and defence science and technology; homeland security and aquaculture.

"Oceanology International continues to grow in terms of numbers of exhibitors and visitors and the countries they come from, and also as far as the business and academic sectors it serves as sectors such as offshore oil and gas and offshore renewable energy move into 'frontier country'," explains James Coleman, Exhibition Manager, Oceanology International "Climate change has also bought the relevance of ensuring our seas and oceans are used and maintained with sustainability in mind to the attention of an ever-growing number of organisations and individuals.

"As knowledge and understanding of the links between ocean currents and our planet's health expands, along with methods of measurement and increased uses for those measurements, it is a highly topical and relevant event for growing number of sectors, areas of interest; and end-users. As the only show of its kind in the world, Oceanology attracts a very broad cross section from all sectors actively involved in working in our planet's seas and oceans, and for whom a wider understanding of their working environment is vital. Oceanology and its conference and exhibitors helps them achieve these aims."

Oceanology International 2010 being held at ExCeL, London 9-11 March 2010 is already larger than the previous show held in 2008 with only a small amount of exhibition space now available. It will see over 500 suppliers of products and services from around the world exhibiting their products and services at the three-day event which, in 2008, was attended by over 6600 from nearly 90 different countries.
