Baker Hughes announces October 2014 rig counts

Baker Hughes Incorporated announce that the international rig count for October 2014 was 1,308, down 15 from the 1,323 counted in September 2014, and down 7 from the 1,315 counted in October 2013. The international offshore rig count for October 2014 was 326, down 7 from the 333 counted in September 2014, and up 10 from the 316 counted in October 2013.

The average U.S. rig count for October 2014 was 1,925, down 5 from the 1,930 counted in September 2014, and up 181 from the 1,744 counted in October 2013. The average Canadian rig count for October 2014 was 424, up 18 from the 406 counted inSeptember 2014, and up 46 from the 378 counted in October 2013.

The worldwide rig count for October 2014 was 3,657, down 2 from the 3,659 counted in September 2014, and up 220 from the 3,437 counted in October 2013.
