Baker Hughes Announces November 2005 Rig Counts-Spotlight

Baker Hughes Incorporated announced that the international rig count for May 2013 was 1,283, down 18 from the 1,301 counted in April 2013, and up 58 from the 1,225 counted in May 2012. The international offshore rig count for May 2013 was 327, down 4 from the 331 counted in April 2013, and up 8 from the 319 counted in May 2012.

The average U.S. rig count for May 2013 was 1,767, up 12 from the 1,755 counted in April 2013, and down 210 from the 1,977 counted in May 2012. The average Canadian rig count for May 2013 was 128, down 25 from the 153 counted in April 2013, and down 5 from the 133 counted in May 2012.

The worldwide rig count for May 2013 was 3,178, down 31 from the 3,209 counted in April 2013, and down 157 from the 3,335 counted in May 2012.
