BIRNS, Inc. has appointed Jeff Hager as its new Mechanical Design Engineer.

In answer to exponential sales increase and customer demand, and as part of BIRNS’ ongoing investment in its Engineering Department expansion, Hager was recruited to focus on the design and development of the company’s wide range of innovative connector systems. Hager holds U.S. patents for eight complex connector products for applications ranging from the NASA space station and the Hubble telescope to missiles and naval surface ships. An industry veteran, he brings more than 30 years of experience to the table in advanced engineering principles, including Finite Element Analysis, MIL-STD and injection molding design. Prior to joining the team at BIRNS, Hager served in numerous leadership roles, such as Senior Mechanical Engineer at Zebra Technologies, Engineering Manager at Electro Adapter and Senior Project Engineer at G & H Technology.

“Mr. Hager’s impressive research and development and design background is a perfect fit for our growing Engineering Group,’’ says Eric Birns, company President and CEO. “We’re looking forward to leveraging his skills and expertise in some exciting new directions for BIRNS moving forward.’’
