Prosafe extends contract for Safe Concordia in the US Gulf

Prosafe has extended an existing contract with an undisclosed client for the provision of the dynamically positioned accommodation/service rig Safe Concordia. The contract includes an additional firm period of 150 days, commencing third quarter 2008.

The total value of the contract is about USD 58 million. This contract demonstrates the positive trend in the market for offshore accommodation units and the suitability of DP semi-submersible vessels in deepwater locations.
