Seadrill secures $310M rig hire

Norway-based rig contractor Seadrill has secured a five-year, $310 million hire for the tender rig West Alliance in Southeast Asia, the company has announced.

The work order starts in January 2010 in continuation of an existing contract.

Seadrill owns some 10 tender rigs. It’s the second contract win for a company tender rig in September after the T9 tender.
