InterMoor completes two major offshore projects for China

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has completed two major offshore projects for China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) with support from Acteon sister companies in the Panyu and Enping fields, Pearl River Mouth basin, South China Sea. To extend the life of the Hai Yang Shi You III FPSO, the first project involved full mooring system replacement in the Panyu field.

New oil resources proved in the Grane area

Operator Statoil has together with PL169 partners proved new oil resources in the D-structure in the vicinity of the Grane field in the North Sea. Well 25/8-18 S, drilled by the rig Transocean Leader, proved an oil column of 25 metres in the Heimdal Formation. The estimated volume of the discovery is in the range of 30-80 million barrels of recoverable oil.

Kongsberg Maritime to deliver ocean observatories for seabed research

CAGE, Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate has selected Kongsberg Maritime to develop and deliver two ocean observatories. The observatories will be deployed off the coast of Svalbard (Norwegian islands in the Arctic Ocean) during 2015, to monitor methane leaks from the seabed. The contract for this project was signed 6th October 2014.

The pressure test of the Valemon Rich Gas Pipeline has been approved, and Gassco has taken over the operatorship of this 177-kilometre facility which will carry rich gas to the Heimdal field centre in the North Sea for further processing. Gassco has thereby become the operator for the Valemon Rich Gas Pipeline joint venture, which owns the 22-inch pipeline, with Statoil as its technical service provider (TSP).

Despite advances in understanding, there is limited knowledge to accurately predict its location and the rate of corrosion.
